In this workshop, attendees will learn about how traditional hiring practices in the nonprofit sector uphold racism as a system and perpetuate white supremacy culture in the workplace. As nonprofit leaders striving to bring about change and working within organizations that intend to uphold equity, it is essential that we always interrogate our organizational practices. Learn about anti-racist practices as they pertain to three key areas of the hiring process: preparing to hire, the applicant experience, and the onboarding process. Examples of how current nonprofits are enacting these practices will also be offered.
